The Wheat Mission in Atlanta is a non-government supported and relies on the help of our eager and generous volunteers to facilitate the day to day operations of our Atlanta Milal Academy (AMA) and the Classroom of Love.
Whether you need some volunteer hours for school or you would like to get some real world, first hand experience working with special needs individuals in a controlled environment, we urge you to consider volunteering for the Wheat Mission.
Although we welcome any and all that are willing to help spread the word and love of Jesus to our mentally and developmentally disabled friends, there is a screening process to ensure the safety of all of the participants along with the other volunteers.
There is no specific age requirement, but we do ask that applicants be at least in high school. There is a short face-to-face interview with the Director, Pastor Choi, and/or one of the program organizers.
We also require our volunteers to read, understand, and abide by our five volunteer prayer statements.
